Farley's Pedigree

In late 2020, I learned that breeder Crystal Nolen was breeding two sisters, Fanny and Poppy, so I asked her about a show prospect.  Farley represents both a new direction for me and a return to the old.  Crystal got her start in Welshies with dogs from Carla Vooris of Mystic Acres Welsh Springers - who bred my first two girls, Elena and Mika, and co-bred Charlie with me.  Fanny's dam was bred by Mystic Acres, and Farley's 4x great-grandmother is the dam of Elena and Mika.  For sentimental reasons, I'm really glad to have the same bloodline.  Fanny's sire is the product of lines from Welsh Springer kennels Trystyn and Ky-Bryn.  Farley's own sire, Fletcher, is a blend of Scandinavian, British, and American lines.  I'm super-excited about this little red girl and I couldn't wait to take her into the show ring.

Farley made her show debut in October in the Beginner Puppy 4-6 month competition.  She won the Puppy Sporting Group the first day and was second in the Sporting Group the second day.  During her first "real" show at 6 months, she was reserve both days to the major.  Two weeks later, she was Best of Breed for 3-point majors both days.  As of June 2022, she has 12 points and three major wins, all of them from taking Best of Breed over specials (with 15 needed for her championship).  She has a happy ring demeanor and shows beautifully efficient, ground-covering movement.  She loves going to dog shows because there are so many new dog and people friends to make!
